Position: Research Executive

Division: FMCG & Retail team

Location: Manchester

Responsibilities:

This role offers exposure to a variety of clients, their exciting products and services and our market leading solutions. The RE role is therefore not only diverse, it’s a great opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge in a sector you’re passionate about. You would be helping to deliver a range of different national and international projects into both established and emerging product and service areas. You would certainly be expected to make a difference, and contribute positively to the team. You will learn from, and be fully supported by, seasoned industry experts; and will relish the prospect of:

  • Managing simple market research projects to time and budget
  • Working as part of a lively, busy, supportive team
  • Designing first drafts of questionnaires and other research materials
  • Briefing and liaising with a range of internal teams and external partners to ensure effective project implementation and delivery
  • Help to prepare, write and check accuracy of reports
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for information from clients
  • Liaise with clients in a clear and professional manner
  • Analyse and synthesise qualitative and quantitative data to meet client’s project objectives
  • Prepare client presentations

Required Skills:

Being a team player and having a can-do attitude are essential characteristics for this role, as are:

  • Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong academic background – Degree level education
  • Clear, accurate and confident verbal and written client communication
  • Confident with numbers
  • Attention to detail
  • Motivated and willing to learn
  • Helpful (but not essential) any prior experience in research or statistics in any capacity (including in academia)
  • An interest in consumer behaviour, brands and retail
